Less Pushing Premium/More Fixing Problems/Innovations

We all know where to go should we require Premium
but we don't know(the Hoi Poloi that is)how to get suggestions/ideas acted upon!
ideas forum = masses of ideas(masses of been there/seen it/written that,
usual result = diddly squat.
(maybe 'cos there's always something else to do).
trying to extract more money out of players isn't endearing but 'tis mercenary.
just an observed opinion(huge chatter about shrinking player base for 1 thing).
always sign of desparation trying to get more from less(discount aside)
i(you might have noticed)detest advertizing whatever/where ever the product may be.

Most of the stuff people suggest here is also not implimentable, even if it sounds good on paper. People dont seem to understand what is required to impliment these features onto the website. Which is lines and line and lines of code where every bit is a command prompt to tell the website to behave in a particular way. Where any error or typo will cause it to all fail. All of this with One Ivan who does not code, one Amok who's to busy to code, and clovis, a young man from the Dominican republic who hardly has any experience in these matters.

Now this is where people say "Hire a new designer" the problem with that is a designer in the united states make 45,000 dollars a year on average. This games monthly revenue is around 1400 a month right now. No one can afford to pay a real web developer the money they desire.

The only thing that can be done right now is better advertisement to increase revenue so maybe they can afford some part time help, even then a 4 man team cant work miracles.

So what we can do is word of mouth advertisement, to bring in our friends from other games, help those already here, rather then be assholes to one another, and stop being pests and making it harder for people to enjoy the game. To iterate most of your ideas simply are not implimentable in any form in our current environment.

For example, Game AI to fill empty scenario slots. Do you know how many lines of code it would be to write an algorithm for an ai smart enough to play scenario sides correctly? Its unfathomable once you relise.

Well that's all, please dont get all defensive and start talking shit about me. Yes Amok could do more, but it still wouldnt matter to this impatient community. I'm willing to give clovis time, he hasnt proved ineffective yet and iv been happy with his work so far. Hope you'll give him a chance to. Helly out


Ps I did not even talk about how complex a map editor/scenario editor must be from a coding stand point. With that being said clovis really sont have time to write any other code to impliment new features.

Really such as fixing the allegedlly ( still not sorted Map Editor )
- not my claim to infamy but admin's claim still to be fixing.
which apparently precludes just about every other suggestion/idea !
very simple solution temporarily suspend ideas & suggestions tab 'til it's possable to implement aforesaid (Lock it ).
most of the suggestions it appears are not original ( going through history of such ).
try a defunct ideas tab so bod's like me can looksee prior to wasting everyones time/effort.
have read some of the ideas are implemented in other games ?
having not played them cannot confirm/deny this.

has anyone considered going outside u.s. to find suitable programmer who would not expect u.s. rate of pay ?
there are pro/semi professional people in "2nd/3rd" world countries equally as able as "1st" countries.

You made your account two months ago was what I was saying. Creating code takes time. They hired clovis a Dominican. Iv been told they split the revenue three ways so like 350 a month each. If they added another person that is if they could find another person that would be 300 a month per person. To do one of the most tedious jobs there is and that is code writing. As it is ivan doesn't even help with that so that only leaves amok and clovis. Your not thinking realistically.

i fully understand the tedium of code writing & the ease with which a single error can screw things up.
do not presume you know anything more about me than i you = playing this game.
i will however presume I. & A. do not rely upon $350 per month to eat,cloth,rent,indulge ( however that may be ).
going to 2nd/3rd world ( beyond Dominica ) is what quite a few "smaller" computer related businesses do.
2 final suggestions;
1.if no ideas/suggestions can be implemented why not make a list of all currant I/S's & lock the I/S thread 'til things can be done.
2.try to adress threads in their entirety,try not to be elitist when responding.
now i'm bored with this seemingly endless spiral of being beaten with a blind mans stick.

The point I am making is without promoting premium, there will be no money to improve the game, therefore hardly vacuous, I would of thought with such a well articulated post you would of figured that. The irony is strong.

Not sure where you get the USA rates of pay as nobody has ever been employed from the USA on this game, the world does revolve around the USA as you seem to imply.

Have read all of this post,$45.000 is what hellykin uses as example of costs-infering u.s. employment or origin?
have no care 1 way or other-just read slowly & try to digest all that's written.
