Not like AAs are gonna slow down ds ukraines ability to cancerously overexpand to neutrals without even needing to attack your lands

I liked the tacticians solution of giving infantry a base +1 attack bonus vs helicopters. It's only infantry strats that are struggling vs ds. We dont need to nerf sm indirectly too. But this is all a moot point unless you can convince the admins to give us changes.

Wouldn't that be overcomplicating things? Not to mention that AA are relatively unused to the best of my knowledge, lowering their price in general may make them more viable as a unit type.

Aas are in a good place in terms of cost and mobility. Theyre useful(and certainly viable) but not spammable enough that they make airstrats totally redundant. But the main issue is boosting them also nerfs sky menace - a strat which has fallen from favour in recent years anyway and doesnt need more nerfs.

Nics also correct about the overexpansion issue which this doesn't address.

Haven't personally seen much AA use, but I'm only just now getting back into comp.

On overexpansion from Ukraine; Theoretically, couldn't we balance the map rather than the strategies for this? Increase Ukraine purchase price, perhaps? Thanks for the info btw!

The ds problem isnt a ukraine-only issue. Infantry/militia neutrals and helis exist outside eu.

Or we can nerf ds or temporarily disable it until we find a good fix for it.

But yea lower AA price especially for duels when there are super noobs trying to win with ds.

DS is perfectly fine because something to do with Iron Fist tanks ~clovis

Gw unusable?

Before GW militia had 8 defense 8 hp in a gen stack.

Now it has 7 def 8 hp. If you think it's unusable now, you're dellusional. Why the fuck should a strat get 30 cost unit with defense and offense equal to pd which has 50 cost inf. I can still easily whip you and everybody else at MK with gw

You cant give attack bonuses in atwar. You can only do defense debuffs.

-1 heli def and set the heli range to same as inf range

You cant give attack bonuses in atwar. You can only do defense debuffs.

give the choppers -1 or -2 def vs inf lol

Then ds militia will defend first before helies and you'll end up killing even less helies.

Lets just delete ds

Decrease DS's helicopters's hp to make bombers tanks and anti aircrafts more efficient against it. Also it will make DS players to use variant troops instead of sending big stacks of helicopters to wipe armies.

Right now even though It's beatable under several specific circumstances It's simply unfair. DS players get access to boss monsters that can easily expand widely. DS gives you the ability to stop your enemies from doing his expansion by long range tbs or simply destroying their army because their only units they can afford to mass produce litterly have no defence against helicopters, They also have Effective defence and they pay nearly nothing in return (who needs tanks when you have such a powerful helicopters).

Low HP helicopters will give you the tools to expand widely and even exercise t1 rushes. But if you play it wrong and lose your capital you won't be able to recap it like any other strategy.

You guys just end up balancing DS around Eu+. It's not that great of a strategy because of it's defence and therefore crap lategame potential. The only situation where it's strong is if it's surrounded by decent income cities and starts with a good budget against some kind of Inf spamming strategy that can't raise alot of income early on in order to start playing offensively at the very beginning.
