Beforehand, apologies if the thread comes off useless or superfluous.

I was browing the translation section (spent 10mins finding it because of chronic noobery) and came across Portuguese Translations (since it's my mother tongue) and was translating 2 small bits. To my dismay I saw that the Translation Moderators were either unheard of or tendenciously inactive and thus hard to contact.

This also led me to believe the same would take place in other Translation sections.

My question, and ulterior suggestion is:

(Disregard this if Mods don't have the ability)

Could perhaps the mod team directly or commission to existing supporters to scout and regulate the translation moderators? I know this is a very secondary thing since some languages are close to 100% Translated but perhaps having a tendenciously active/rigorous/reliable set of people to pursue active translating and translation moderators to swiftly ratify them would be a good method to finally lock down some of the languages and give this website a pluri-tonguish profissional style (don't spank me if it sounds foolish). I truly think if we had active translation moderators and had some people scout for other people to diversify and increase translation effort on the various existing languages would be at last stop benefitial to the community at the same time that gets to include some people of other languages involved in some, even if minor, aspect of the community.

Sorry if it sounds confusing, I can explain in the morning if needed.

Lock this or move this if it sounds useless, I thought it could be an input that could in any distant way, help.

Cheeers

(In the meantime during study pauses I'll just review the portuguese translations because I sense there's brazilian slangy wordings in there)

If you speak another language fluently, have made a decent amount of translations in that language and are a reputable member of the community, we will make you a moderator of that language. If you deserve it, dont be afraid to ask. I personally still regulate translations.

I speak fluent Portuguese and can give good kicks in Spanish aswell. If you'd care to make me translation moderator for Portuguese it would be appreciatable because Pulse and most of other contributors have translated the website to Brazilian Portuguese which is basically a slangy Portuguese, and it has the Portuguese flag not theirss so I've been correcting it to a more correctly explicit portuguese.

In addition, thank you for replying to the thread and providing your valuable input, my idea was basically of having supporters (if mods couldn't be bothered or something, which I see is not the case) keep a watchful eye and if possible get persons who could provide their needed input when it comes to language translations

Made you a Portuguese mod.

I Remember that I was a Spanish translator, but then some players from Spain got mad at my South American Spanish and they banned me from making translations. A few weeks ago I played in Spanish and to my dismay -a lot of the translations were still in English.

:

Noticed it, thanks, will re-work the translations

Note: Some brazilian player years ago decided to not do [Unit]: (Type of Unit) and just went for full text which meant bad translation xd

Expect to be done with the translations within a week honestly

To be honest, if it has the spanish flag there, it should be european castillan and not the latino variants, because they differ, ergo an Angolan translating Portuguese won't place the verbs and align sentences as I do it, and neither would a brazilian
