RESOLVED: Need some serious monitoring

User r@ygold tells me to "google their name" comes back with an avalanche of child porn references. Not cool. In addition there are some serious racials slurs being tossed. Pathetic really. I love the game but this crap has to go.

Is this a bug? I'd say so.

Not really a bug.
This is more due to the current influx of people from BRchan, Krautchan, and 4chan's /int/ message board.
This has more to do with people taking advantage of global (and subsequently trolling other people).

We'll think of something. Probably will have to pick a few people to moderate the game. For now you can simply turn off the global channel when you don't need it.

Yes, you at this stage of online develop, then you really do need moderators.

Had this childish "hard talk" couple of times already - really annoying

First thing to do is to come up with a set of guidelines to follow for what is allowable and what is not; that way any moderating won't simply be arbitrary....

Despair not, dealing with this is our top priority at the moment.

Yes gaining the attention of 4chan can really help a game take off quickly but it has (imop smaller) obvious drawbacks, other than the bad jokes.
