Custom home pages

What do people think of custom home pages for the players? I'm thinking of something like (sorry to bring this up, but) what neopets did (yes, I said Neopets). Would it be too much of a pain, or could it be a fun tool?

How about something like how youtube channels are? you can import your own background (that 'water' is getting old) change font/colors etc.
