Well, seriously now, while i dont care much about political parties it really saddens me to see young people support conservative policies. Young people are supposed to be more humane, caring, tolerant, peacefull, openminded and educated. How can a young, educated and healthy young person be anti- abortion, anti-gay, anti-enviroment and pro-military, pro-big corporations, pro religion..

Well, seriously now, while i dont care much about political parties it really saddens me to see young people support conservative policies. Young people are supposed to be more humane, caring, tolerant, peacefull, openminded and educated. How can a young, educated and healthy young person be anti- abortion, anti-gay, anti-enviroment and pro-military, pro-big corporations, pro religion..

i dont have an opinion on abortions, im fine with gays, im fine with helping the environment (prefer solar over wind though and would liek to see investments in hydro plants and desalination plants especially on the west coast) im pro-military in the sense I want a strong military. right now we need cutbacks because of our debt, that doesnt mean cutting salaries that means not having bases where their not needed. that means cutting programs that arnt working. corporations can be good, but they need to be regulated to some extent. citizens united allows big unions and big corporations to have continued influence in our government which needs to change. i am not religious at all though I am a lutheran.

I am a moderate PLus I won't be voting Santorum so don't worry ^_^

Anyway, I am not anti-gay, and although I would never support having an abortion being done for my spouse, I still support the choice. And I'm not really anti environment. If you want to recycle and have solar panels or wind panels, fine go ahead, but I don't want it to be compulsory nor bought with my tax dollars. I don't support just dumping waste into rivers etc., but the environment is lease of my worries. I'm not religious and believe religion should stay out of politics (Separation of Church and State). And what's wrong with a big military? We have stupid Daesh getting larger in the Middle East. Russia is antagonizing everyone in Europe. You have silly North Korea always threatening war and China.

With this all in mind, I support most Repuublican policies as compared to Democratic ones. The only Democratic policies I favor are some of their social ones, nothing else. I am against ILLEGAL immigration (I just don;t want you or anyone else to say I am anti- immigration ). And I don't believe the rich should be taxed at a higher rate than everyone else. There should just be a flat tax rate across the board. To me, rich people shouldn't be punished for having money.

One last thing I want to state is I'm not one of those people who hats the other side. I just hate many of their ideas. Although I don't like many of their beliefs. I do believe they are doing what they think is best for the nation.

Some points i disagree.

1. enviroment. Enviromental policies, as far as i know are mostly targeted to big corporations. Regulations and restrictions to ensure not only the health of our planet but of the citizens as well. Corporations would earn less and you would gain by not getting cancer, your kid not getting poisoned and the planet not dying sooner. Regulations could also be imposed on the food sector, which has become ridiculously dangerous, to increase profits at the expense of your health. So it should be on your list of worries imo. As for your pocket, i again think its in your best interest to pay some of your taxes for alternative energy and research and etc. Human ,animal and planet life is far more precious than some pieces of paper imo. Also you could just use the money you gonna save from cutting on defense which is ridiculously high anyway.

2.military. You wrote about "threats" in Europe, Russia, Middle East and North Korea. You realize none of these countries actually posses a direct threat to you and your country? You realize your own country is using your money to interfere and intervene in their own matters? Nobody has ever stepped foot on America and prob noone will ever will. The only country that tried was Japan back in ww2 and the only reason it did so, was because she thought you would attack her and striked first. I think we can all agree Usa is pretty safe from any outsiders. You used what, almost 1 trillion for defense in 2015, i think you can make some cuts lol.

3. taxation . Why shouldnt the rich pay more in the form of taxes? Dont they have a convenient enough life? They would only loose some luxuries, i dont see wheres the harm in that.The poor and medium class, loose far more importand and necessary things and the quality of their life is so much lower already, it makes sense they pay less.

If you try to look at all these three points above, with a different lense, you will see, that from all of these, the clear looser is the normal tax paying,law abiding citizen and the planet itself. And the clear winner are the big corporations (the ones taking your money through the defense budget aswell) and the 1%. Just food for thought.

I'll just state my opinion in response to each of your points.

1. Protecting the environment is not going to ensure I don't get cancer DX. For the food sector, there's enough regulations already. If you don't like what is in a certain food then don't eat it; no person is forcing anyone to eat a specific product.

2. Just because not many have landed in the US does not mean it cannot occur in the future. Other countries have nukes, such as North Korea and Russia, which pose a threat not only to us, but to our allies. One last comment is that 1 trillion dollars was not spent on the defense budget. It was about 600 billion

3. The rich should not be taxed more because they shouldn't be punished for that as I said before. If you go out and make a new product that becomes a hit and you start making millions of dollars, you should be able to enjoy that. If you have a profession that pays well, for example doctors, then you shouldn't pay any more because you worked hard to get there. To become a doctor for example, over a decade of education is put it to that. After all that time, they should be able to spend it wherever they want. I don't understand why people think the rich should pay more just because they're rich. Most of the time, they worked hard for that money and it's not right to steal it away from them. One last thing, everyone throws around the 1% number as if every person in that category is a millionaire. To be considered in the top 1 percent, you have to be making over 500k a year.

I consider myself a moderate and think the Republican party will change from voters like me (or it will simply die out). Personal opinion is each party has it's crazy and it's our job to keep them in a special place. Unfortunately for me, republicans call it elected office :/
