all this time in the middle east, and what have you achieved, nothing, soldiers die for nothing because terroists border hop over to pakistan/iran and there is nothing that can be done.

also, i believe a long term war with a superpower would totally cripple america, and the western world.

The reason america is so powerful is you chose the right allies at the right time.

ww2 - you knew that if england fell, hilter would come for you next, and you made an absolute killing off ww2 from england, a debt that was finished being payed in 2006, and ensured the british empire was crippled (for the record prior to world war 2, there were plans for america to take on a facist regime and overthrow the british empire)
