The process of evolution is too gradual to label THE chicken and THE egg. We name them to make it easier to understand.

However, THE chicken that we know today in its entirety, came from the egg first. (from two chickens that weren't completely considered chickens, also known as proto chickens)

Technically, the egg came first since chickens weren't the first creatures to lay eggs. However, the chicken came before the chicken egg. Because the chicken egg, by definition is the egg of a chicken.

T-rex came first, the chicken is an direct ancestor from him xD
