Hello there. Basically, the goal of this thread is for you to post your favorite map, maps you like/made etc. whatever, any map you like. Explain what it is, and if you can, give credit to who made it so if somebody likes their work they may search them up for more. I'll start:

Original by Abraham Ortelius, Blank version by me

Any map but this one

This doesn't really say anything, it's just a space filler while I try to come up with a better signature.

A, like, totally accurate world map from 1635 as drawn by some Dutch guy.
The drawings of nude men on the side are bordering on homoerotic, but let's ignore that... because such was life during the Rennaisance!

Yoba, can have a copy of that pic without the map and only the homoerotic men? (jk)
Another one of my favorites (in set form!):

LilD, driving from Kingston to Westmoreland is a good time! Have you been to "Bamboo Avenue"?

The church is near, but the road is icy... the bar is far away, but I will walk carefully...

Only a bit but then again I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to street names. I only know about 5 street names where I live too. XD I most just memorize where to go by landmarks.

One I spent the past week making, it's based on World War II with some added twists of my own. I separated each country into accurate provinces, and shaded them to their allegiance and country. (it's still a W.I.P., just wanted to share):

It's based off of Ortelius' Terrarvm (obviously), so please don't post a "Why does yurop luk liek it an hero'd" comment.

Noice. I like how you've separated the occupied and "free" zones in France.

I don't like Russia so much (especially that island flying above it) and the mindfuck in the Balkans. The administrative divisions are a bit too cluttered. If you made a bigger version of it, it would look much better.

Also, the shading around the land and so on looks super cool.

What is the game of the last map called?

Europa Universalis III: Chronicles, probably the best grand strategy game of all time and one of my favourite games of all time. Certainly top 3.

And you NEVER get situations like this, that map has clearly been edited with something like the Clausewitz Editor or even through the code. Stuff like this is outright impossible, end of story.

Spent a few days on this one. Not liking the wasser as much, but whatevs. This one is based in an alternate history where Preußen failed to make a united German state, and Österreich takes southern Germany into it's empire, while Hungary breaks away from it's monarchy. Also, the Caspian sea really is what 16th century cartographers envisioned it as!

Holy crap, did you draw all that from scratch? It's almost completely accurate to real-life, if you did that then I'm very impressed.

Now make a map about American history. Teach us stuff about America!

Here's a map we can all appreciate...my Minecraft world This is NOT the entire world map though, it was much too large to use the whole thing, so 75% isn't there, though this is the most important section of it.
