It was Celtic to start with (like Ireland and Scotland heritage) (Romans rules during this period. Mostly tribal)
Then Saxons invaded (Danish/German: From Angeln and Saxony regions)
Then the Normans (French) stuck their nose in.

Since then it just evolved, and as people became more literate, standard spelling and punctuation became a thing.

Even today we're considered Anglo Saxon, meaning we have more in common with Denmark than France)
(don't say we were French, or we'll fucking cut you)

Its the subtle differences that matter. The bulk of our language comes from the Anglo Saxons. We never slaughtered our Monarchy, we came up with magna carter before you ripped us off and put "liberte" down as a French value. When you guys go on about how shit British food is you quickly forget the fact you eat horse.

France is like a parasite to British history

France is the pariah of British history.

Yes, early English has Germanic origins, but actual modern English started with the Normand invasion on England. And I've never even said my opinion about England and you started hating, however it's a fact that the France and Britain do share a lot even tho we hate each other.

XA okok you're not French. Just apparently English and French are sort of cousins who have a love-hate relationship.
Going by the discussion between Leo and Phoenix, the English can't stand the French, and the French can't understand why the English hate them.

Hmm with Tunder's IoM game, reminds me of the relationship between the Imperium and the Tau where the Tau are the French.

However as a personal opinion, speaking as an Indian, the English are fags
