AtWar Wikia (Wikipedia) http://atwar-game.wikia.com Hey guys! I have started the creation of a Wikia (Wikipedia) for atWar, seeing as it has a lot of information and features. It is a easy to use Wikia, where you can either choose from the front page or use the search for specifics. I started this today, and have already completed a lot. If something is missing just tell me Here it is http://atwar-game.wikia.com There was an old Wikia with nothing on it except the front page, and i couldn't edit Background/Logo including other Admin specifics. So i created the new one.

Hey man. I have edited some stuff for you as well. Went ahead and edited the map page and added a list of all default maps. And I changed a paragraph where you had Tank General instead of Relentless Attack written. Going to try to add hyperlinks for default maps and pictures of each with a slight description. But either way, I hope it is not a big deal. Just trying to help you out and expedite the process. Looks great so far.

Thank you! And i don't mind, its a Wikipedia i want more people like you to help out on there. Hope to see you add new stuff there . Oh there are some infantry images i do not have, so if you can get that it would be nice. I haven't played long enough to unlock them to get the right image ingame.

Will do man! I will add any updates I add to the wiki here, so you can keep track of any changes I make though. I will try to add some more upgrade images later and get the default map section completely finished as well.

I don't see any images uploaded. And being blocked for that is weird. Try registering, maybe its a limit for non members?

VERY IMPORTANT!!! Guys this is really cool... BUT you cant copy and paste text off the homepage... It is of extreme importance that the text on our homepage and pages linking to it are UNIQUE. Please take down any text you have copied. The reason is I have been working for a couple of months to make AW prominent in google searches, copying the text I have written will make AW content not unique - which is very important. Taking text from desura is fine... just not our Homepage. If in doubt please ask Please heed this call Current page of concern http://atwar-game.wikia.com/wiki/Features_of_atWar

Propose the following substitute text: "Main Characteristics of atWar atWar, previously known by the name of Afterwind, is turn-based strategy game, having some ditant similarity with Risk or Axis & Allies. The main difference to those games is the complexity of units, maps, strategies and diplomacy that have been developed and put into practice over the past years. It is pure strategy and fun. Main characteristics: Free movement of troops: they go as far as their range and the terrain allow. Turn-based games: all the players engage in combats at the same time. Fast games and casual games: you can choose to play games with turns between 1 and 12 minutes or games with 12-24 hour turns. Hundreds of maps: from realistic world maps, to sub-regional maps, or country-based maps, till fantasy maps made by the developers of the game and members of the player community. Map, unit and scenario editor: members of the game community can develop their own maps, scenarios and units. There is no limit, but creativity. Number of players per game: choose to play agains one opponent up to 20 players per game with simultaneous combat turns. Coalitions: players can conform, join and fight in fraternities, the so called coalitions. Troops: the troops are gathered into the classical three categories: land, naval and air. There are standard troops and no limit for the development of new type of troops. Strategies: players can choose from a huge variety of strategies, depending on what ground they are playing and on what their preferences are. Different strategies have different strengths and weaknesses. Only experience will tell a player what strategy to use on what ground!" Cheers, CD

Changing Direct meanings of what stuff do, is on the hard side of things. Untill it is possible, i will link all copy pasted pages, to the atWar page. The ones that will stay are other things like Each Unit, Upgrade, Strategy, tournaments, clans and things that are not as much in detail on the website. I understand your choice, i would have said the same if someone used what i created and used time on, on another website that might have higher google search EDIT: Some of the pages does have additional information actually, so i will write "For more information blabla, click here" and it goes to the website

Added all Strategies, we can now write specifics about each Strategy Also added 2 Map creators, and the category Map Creators. The pages for the creators include badges and the maps they have made etc.

May I contribute? I can go through grammar checks, spelling checks, and adding entries. On the Wikipedia, I usually contribute in the political sections by correcting some grammatical error and making sure there's no bias (even if it's someone I favor).

It looks like coalitions will be advertised on the wikia as well? I see someone has put up The Socialist Party. I'd like to put up Epicness in a Can since we're a map-making coalition, and the more map-makers the better.
