Game Over: Turn 5

Consul Aurum filibustered the senate phase and no major decisions could be made, this resulted in [9/9] unrest and the Roman republic gave itself away to the Mob.

If you want to see the results of turn 1-4 send me a Pr, i have all the statics and pictures.

Tunder I highly suggest you implement this rule from the game, or a modified version of it:

No Faction may be the target of more than one attempt per turn, and no Faction may attempt more than one Assassination per turn.

If atwar players were senators, everything would go to shit confirmed

No shit, half of them would allow the Slavs to kill Rome, half of them would allow the Germans to kill us and half of them would bring the Turks all the way from Mongolia to Rome to kill us

And yes, there are three halves. Why? AtWar.

To be fair, i didn't expected for it to escalate this quickly.

Meanwhile US would wait for the 3 to tear each other apart, then step in and bring 'democracy'

We shouldn't have enemies inside Rome in the first place, but their scheming made them so.

We could have dealt with our enemies effectively if Darth and ghost face just spammed units on Carthage turn 2 instead of itty bitty additions that just add to turn cost

1. You're dead. Stop talking.

2. We didn't have the money to just spam units you nut. Sure we could have made 5 fleets and 5 legions to put us on par with Carthage. Sure we could have gone to war. But then we have a 50-50 chance of winning a war. We'd also be dirt poor if we failed and with the Pirates having popped up, that would be bad. And if we succeeded and destroyed Carthage, the upkeep would be more than our income, we'd go into debt and it would be gg
This isn't embers where Italy has like 10k income and can spam legions and fleets

you have a 66% chance to have an assasination attempt fail, the current assasins just got lucky.

33% to die too, so...

Agree. Ban any future assassinations this turn and reform the system. Leave the current ones as they are. It was all luck.

Omg.

Alright that's enough killing. We have enemies at the gate. Every time you kill someone we lose wealth and power as a whole country. Stop.

The 2 main centre pieces of both factions have been killed. Assign a leader so we can begin discussions and move forward.

So what should we do to the assassination rules

A. There cannot be more than 1 attempt on a member's life every 2 turns.
B. There cannot be more than 1 attempt on a member of a faction every turn.
C. In the case of an independent, this clause assumes that the independent belongs to a faction with only 1 member: him

This is based off a board game. In that the criminal is killed automatically, so tunder is being nice.

hmm well it would have been better to state that if you get captured at assassination attempt you die befor he said we can try to assassinate....

remove the rule that the censor can prevent the lynching, makes him too powerful, he can kill anyone he wants and everyone in his faction can too.

besides this, the assasination rules are ok, its high risk decent reward

Actually a Consul is meant to be powerful. It was like this is real life.
But I get what you mean and agree. It would spoil the game.

1 you're a noob that cant math
2 don't act like you didn't tale part in the assassinations
3 if you're so good at this game why didn't you anticipate the fact that new wars would increase strength of opponents
4. You should have anticipated how dominating power within your faction would look
5 we could have killed carth on t2 if we spammed the appropriate units, we had 180.. More than enough to kill Carthage and the profit from Carthage would offset additional cost of our armies the next turn.
6. Duel?

Good luck with the rest of the game, don't get killed
