We have the so far "cure" or at least what has worked before for the two (maybe three) patients that were previously infected and brought back form AFrica to the US. There was a lot of buzz about it before but the reason why there isn't as much talk about it now is because a) There is now the second confirmed case and b) The "cure" that has shown promise wasn't made in large quantities and right now more is being produced but it will take months before any large stockpile of the drug can be made.

there is no cure to us as people, on a report yesterday, scientists were avoiding questions about how long it would take, a scientist stated that he is working along with foreign researchers and he plans to have the cure to a different strand of ebola than the one in west africa, and that his cure will take at least 5 years, he said west africa strand would take longer, we arent getting that cure any time soon.

Yeah, cures, if they turn out to be one which I hope does happen, will take awhile to turn out because ebola is a virus and viruses are a pain to have cures for because they are very unstable in terms of genetics. Whenever a virus injects its RNA into a healthy cell and the RNA is replicated, there are always mutations that occur and its difficult to get a cure that can cover the virus with all the new mutations.
