I just started reading "Capital in the 21st Century" by Thomas Piketty. Even though he is a socialist, it will be interesting to get another point of view.

Crime & Punishment by Dostoyevski. It's unbearable read purely from an emotional perspective. Really makes you feel uneasy. Highly recommend so far!

I am reading a riveting tale of the main characters test of courage and conviction to travel to a land told only in whispers by his mother before his own brothers and sisters murdered her and ate her flesh. A promised land where he could lay down the foundations of a new home filled with bountiful hunting grounds to make himself strong to find the woman of his dreams and carry on his legacy. But he must climb a mountain of steel, in the worst season, where he could be killed at any moment or fall and start again, But nothing shall stop this brave hero, filled with dreams of the promised land and with the memory of his own mothers dying screams still ringing in his head, hiding the dark secret that he too took part in her murder. It is a tale of courage, endurance and redemption. Like no other. And yes, it is a true story. Amazing read.

Emmanuel Levinas' "Totality and Infinity" and Michel Foucault's "Security, Territory, Population: Lectures at the Collège de France 1977-1978" Are useful tools for subversive strategies that attempt to penetrate into the fissures of dominant discourses.
