He's not admin, but this is interesting. Are you sure someone didn't change the settings before he joined and then switched back to 10? EDIT: I also changed the name, so that is more clear.

Looks like a bug. Therfor i moved this topic to the 'bugs' forum. The only possibility is (like Caulerpa said) if you have changed the max. joining weeks during the game. If this was not the case, then it should be something to look at. Have any more players seen something like this before?

Its not really a bug, just a clever exploitation of the rules. However, I still think it should be fixed. The max join week signifies that you cannot click join game after a certain turn. What zizou does however, is he joins the game before the max join week, but hangs out for as long as he wants without choosing a country or clicking ready, so that he may join the game whenever he wants. Ive seen it done plenty of times, Ive even done it myself when Im indecisive, but normally one or two turns after the max join week, and never purposefully.

Thanks NatFan. I just tested this with Caulerpa and this is possible indeed, the way you said. It's a bug, needs to be changed.

Me and hugo tested it, and it is true what Nat is saying. You can join whenever you like if u press join button and don't pick country when joining week is still up...

It has nothing to do with the rules. This is a bug and, as you said, it has to be fixed. Afterwind rule:
This is a recent, bur already confirmed bug. So players should avoid any action involving this issue. If you were already warned by a mod about it, please, refrain from repeating it, or it can lead you into further punishments.

Sry, it is confirmed by Pinheiro, creator of Afterwind. Please don't abuse this BUG. Because he confirmed it is one. Didn't you read? He confirmed it. c-o-n-f-i-r-m-e-d. It's not part of the game like wallfucking. Its confirmed. He didnt confirm wallfuck, so: not confirmed by Pin -> no Bug. keep abusing it, but dont use other game-mechanics. since confirmed. Please confirm this post Pinheiro

I thought it was supposed to be that way. Because join week is the week you can join. If you join week 2 doesn't mean you have to pick week 2. It still limits when you can join by the specified week. It just doesn't specify when you have to pick. So it makes sense to me as to why it works that way.

Well, it's not meant like that and it's a bug. Also, when there's some problem, you don't need to call 67 friends to "back-up" your opinion. And, refrain from trolling here.

Connect is different from joining. If I joined after the max week has passed, I'm abusing a gap of the system mechanics which, obviously, wasn't supposed to be that way. Doesn't matter if you ask your friends to come over if you none of you have arguments to discuss it.

Or, I can talk to my friends over Team Speak 3 about another game I visit, while people play a EU game or eurasia game, with my saved join-spot I put in earlier. Or at least that's how I thought of it before all this fuss. It honestly doesn't need to be a bug by any definition. The system, in my opinion, is originally to let people in so when they choose a country, and the "oops I forgot to press ready" thing happens. This means they can still join the following turn--even if it's over the max joining limit. Maybe, if you're serious, put a limit of 3 weeks after joining limit. Otherwise leave it alone. Act. Let's discuss.

True, but realistically this gets exploited by I have a better solution; when you have selected the countr{y, ies} you want, the ready button flashes really obviously so you'll never forget to click it again. Simple and effective, meaning this will never be an issue again and this won't be exploited as it won't exist.

Moderators have deemed that this is an exploitable bug. Do not do it. If you are late pressing the Ready button for a turn, that is acceptable. Topic Locked. Please make sure to visit our updated Rules and Guidelines!
