General - upgrade

So, I didn't realize that generals are now a premium upgrade. I have spent around 25k sp on general upgrades and they are totally useless since I'm not a pay to play member. Is there anyway to reset or get back the spent sp?

I think they reseted the SP too so you can buy new upgrades but there was no warning yeah.
