A very very simple boost, with a small nerf submarines +2 capacity(so overall 5 capacity with upgrade), +2 range(instead of 3) Naval commander is already a very very high maintenance strategy, and this boost doesn't change that, all it does is allow you to bring land support through easier so that naval units can take ports while stealth units can take inland capitals. Though it doesn't make Marines your main land unit though, tanks are still cost effective over short distances for taking cities, and infantry are still great for defending ofc, i'm just thinking it may give it the much needed boost it needs for the later turns in game.

Honestly, maybe this would make NC OP, but I've always wanted marines to be -10 cost or something instead, since I don't know it can sort of go in with the naval aspect a little. Not sure if +1 sub capacity makes OP or not but I guess it would be nice to have.

Actually, doing the maths on this mean NC will be able to move 20 marines for 3800 while mos can move 20 for 3400 (but also has +1 atk and range) GW can move 21 marines for 3080 (yes more cost effective as expected.) maybe is op, i would drop the submarines range to 12 aswell(-1 from current) but doing the maths it is 800 cost per 20 marines less effective that gw marines that have the same stats, then again you won't be moving massive stacks, because they will only be supporting your main naval attack units.

I think for the time being NC should be left as it is, it already got a buff, for all we know the current buff might make it OP (I highly doubt it) but for now I think it's best to see how NC plays a bit longer before suggesting even more improvements to it.

I enjoy NC but disagree with the tweak suggested here. I think the only thing NC needs is a +1 def or something bonus for Destroyers a city. Defending has always been a weakness I think, and that makes sense because the ship would have its facilities, logistics, etc. and other support in the port of call.

Custom maps added a new unit naval main defence (destroyers are naval main defence) if this naval defence unit could be added into the unit list aswell as a +1 for all naval defence unit bonus, that could help, but it would possibly be op.

Oops, I meant to say when stationed in a city...(like inf +1 def in city bonus) not +1 def all the time. What about that?

>ships >targets for bombers youwotmate. destroyers are mounted with fucking anti aircraft guns, it's entire existance is not to be the main ship but to be able to send cruise missles to land and other ships to defend the flagship, an aircraft carrier.

What NC needs is s separate defense ship. I think ships are mostly used to protect trade routes and other such things. So adding a ship with 11 defense 5 attack and 8 HP would be nice. For 10 cost less then an attacking ship. Also sea transports need to hold 25 or even 30 units with NC active. There is really no way to make NC OP considering that the land units get no boast and those are the units you use most. Just an idea.
