Tournament?

We should have a Clan war tournament. Every clan against ever clan. see who is really the best.

Lol. This topic comes up every few months. Why? Because it would significantly improve the game. I can only add that I've come to the conclusion that it has to be either hosted by the game administrators or possibly backed by a protocoin reward. Something Anon did several times w success.

From my perspective an administrative organized seasonal tournament, the removal of VRIL (lol serious), and I guess the recoding to HTML5 are the most important steps to seeing significant improvement in AW. Actually I can add one more. And that would be to find a way to better monetize micro transactions in the game. If Ivan and Amok were making more $ from they game they would be able to invest more time. The only suggestion I could think up would be allowing players the option to buy SP upgrades (ie faster infantry) with protocoins. I don't think this will create any significant imbalances in the game. Even if a rank 5 has all the upgrades and strays he'll still be lacking in experience.
So yeah. Lets do that. Or. Lets demote VRIL. (Easiest.) Increase monetization. Recode. And finally organize seasonal tournaments. = great success.

I like the above ideas, except for protocoin upgrades, because people could make alts and easily abuse this. Even if you found all the alts, you could train a lower rank player with all of the good uprades to play as good as much higher ranks solely because of these upgrades, which would obsolete fair seasonal tournaments.

A real clan tournament would be great. Don't listen to other people. A legit tournament with brackets etc. I love the idea.. Dont let the people like the first person who posted discourage you.

Sounds good, as i recall think it happened before. All it needs is willing active coalitions, and a willing host.

Does he mean like something like cw season or like a tourny except the teams are from each clan together and not mixed up? like SM team and Syndi team,etc?

Another clan tournament would be great (like the one Gob was in). More CWs played adding to the Season standings and additional prizes too. I like the idea

Like with a legit bracket, and one that isn't pre stacked, totally random, fight for glory. that would be so bomb

I would definitely participate, maybe the best way would to have it would allow each clan to have, say, 3 teams, ranked based on either average level, or max level. Such as a Rank 5 bracket, a Rank 7, Rank 10. THen have a Legit bracket. It would really add to the game, and definitely put this version of 'online risk' above the rest. As well as increase traffic , and perhaps revenue.

FYI, don't over exaggerate please. It doesn't need all that backing, that's total bullshit. We barely have 5 clans that cw on weekly basis, so it'd never need that much support.

If it was truly a tournament it would, if you would learn to read the whole thing, you would see, so cut your bullshit, and act decent

Lets see, there are 60ish clans that have been active in the last 90 days, and it took three people to back the 8 clan tourney. So by logic, which you seem to lack, it would take 7-8 people to do it, making fair brackets can be difficult, and to do what I am thinking would be kinda difficult. Quit being such a rankest to, if your best argument is ad hominem, then you have no argument. Besides, dpi you not like playing? Why are you attacking my idea? Honestly, some people's kids.

lol ok cpt magic blaming me for y ppl are leaving competitive side of AW. Your scenarios are the reason. I don't have a problem with custom maps, but I have a problem with scenarios. For example when rank 3 starts playing UN or WWII, he won't learn how to expand, he won't be able to do any openings for EU or world map which should be the core of the game again. Custom maps are fine, well most are, but scenarios are total bull shit.

THat is his problem if he doesn't do that, maybe he will only play Un, it is always a choice, whether or not they can play competitively or not, quit attacking because you can't look at both sides, scenarios are fun, and they teach a different part of the game(e.g. money:unit ratios) and are the opposite of useless. Please stop attacking my friends for your own skewed beliefs.

ShockX showed some initiative in wanting to organize a tournament. That's great! We should encourage him. He's probably wrong about needing all that backing but that doesn't matter. Don't get discouraged Shock. Like MOU said, go ahead with your idea!
