EDIT: This thread is a joke. Apparently that wasn't as obvious to some people as I thought it would be... Hey everyone, From now on my clan will not play any clan that does not accept the following rule. Walling in any form should not be allowed for these reasons: 1) Walling is a glitch. It is not supposed to be in the game and the admins certainly did not intend for it. 2) Walling is annoying. When players wall I have to break it with a unit. I could be using that unit for attack and defense. 3) Walling shows a lack of skill. Why can't you people win without using walls? It's sad. 4) Walling may be possible within the parameters of the game. But enough people (my clan and close group of friends) agree that walling is wrong so it deserves to be prohibited. I realize there is nothing I can do to stop you from walling. For some reason the admins/mods refuse to punish players that wall. So instead I will just insult and refuse to play those who wall or promote walling. Thank you for your understanding. This is satire. All arguments made in this thread are paraphrases of real points actually used by those who oppose rewalling.

This thread is for sarcasm or for real? So you don't wall your capital first turn, asserting that any form of wall should be prohibited ?

I laughed. This is exactly what I meant by people making terrible arguments both for and against this concept (rewall/wg). This clearly shows the terrible arguments that people have come up that goes against the concept.

Right now, because I've not been the most active player, the popularity and the consent of rewalling is all new to me. Thus, as an old player, it seems like an unethical move because that's what it was before. I would gladly review my views on it if I see strong and legitimate arguments that support the use of rewallings that isn't based purely on the fact that it's what Amok intended. I've yet to see any though.

Walling simply is a result of being abled to make walls if there wouldn't be 3 unit walls, people would just make 4 unit walls

The burden of proof lies with those who seek to prohibit rewalling as they are the ones claiming it is wrong. To say that you are just going to continue thinking that it is unethical because you (incorrectly) assumed there was a previous consensus is lazy. What sort of "strong and legitimate" arguments are you looking for? No one is going to prove that AW is a better place when rewalling is allowed because that shouldn't matter. All that matters is that it is an intentional part of the game and that the only way to prohibit its use is by convincing every player to never do it. Considering the very lack of consensus I don't see this as likely.

Let's pick this apart then. 1. Your first point is totally unrelated to my or anyone else's arguments. We've never made normative claims about rewalling or described it as "awesome" or "pro". At most we've used a fairly neutral word "tactic". 2. This is dumb and no one said this. 3. No one said this. 4. Rewalling has literally nothing to do with luck. It's an easily prevented move and you can prevent it 100% of the time with a wf. 5. Unrelated bug 6. I've never made any claims about unit spam. Nor can you prove that accepting rewalling will cause unit spam. 7. Again no one claims rewalling is "awesome". First turn wf unlike rewalling has a general consensus. 8. Amok served only one purpose in my argument, to show that the admins intended for rewalling and it is therefore not a bug. I never claimed that the admins know what is good for gameplay or that they have the final say and I've never used Amok's words as my main argument. The difference between my post and yours is obvious to any thinking person. Yes, I made my post to poke fun at those who oppose rewalling and you did just the opposite. But I actually used the very same arguments used by anti-rewallers. Your post is just full of strawmans. You've built up a much weaker and very imaginary "pro wall glitch" stance that obviously seems silly. Thing is no one actually holds these views. Half of these things no one said anything close to and the other half are so far from people's original points that the meaning has been completely changed. So yeah, disappointed by this post.

Stop making side arguments from the main issue. Attacking our motives will get you nowhere. I hardly ever rewall and if I'm up against a competent player I know he will wf my cap heavily. I don't expect to gain any advantage from this and if all players can rewall any possible advantage is equally distributed anyway. Moot point.

how so? once their cap wall is broken you should be sending a fresh wf each turn, the wall should never reform, and rewalling shouldnt be an issue.

I don't know what I'd do without walls. OP is an idiot if he/she believes that walls are ridiculous. It's the only way you can keep your cap form being taken turn 2.
