General as a premium feature

Why have you done this???

It's exactly the oposite of what everyone asked for: Don't make AW pay2win...

It's an abomination that only your paying clients have the general and the whole of his advantages.

I bought most of the general upgrades and went to test them to see if this version was similar to the first and found that i dont have my general, I need premium subscription.

Please fix this

I subscribe for this but i dont think they will do something about it....

Having Anit-Aircraft as an exclusive unit was no longer an option (because of the changed unit structure), General is the replacement. It's sufficiently enticing for people to consider buying the Exclusive weapons pack, and at the same time not absolutely crucial - you can easily do without a General.

Wtf worldgame for everyone, that sucks because of the non +100city option

Actually the general is very important, it is true that you can do without him but in a high level game, non-premium players get a huge nerf

Btw i bought some upgrades and they dont appear neither on the list nor on the buyable upgrades

What BS, I could be making an infantry unit as 99 defence and hence rendering all +1 defence boosts useless.
When the original set of units is no longer rigidly applicable (eg:custom units), then the set has to adapt accordingly.
I support Ivan/Amok/Dave.

Not everyone will be playing using custom maps, some people still will wish to play using old settings, for those that do retaining a competitive arena i.e a system they are accustomed to, is important. Not having a general under old settings, which tbh will still be for a while the most played game type gives premium players a distinct advantage.

Please remember that he introduction of Custom Maps is not designed to rid us of the old game, and reinvent the egg so to speak but to complement the game and give more to those that enjoy the creative and imaginative aspects.

does that make us better players?? except the anti air which is only useful against bombers and it is not very good in cost/effect

whole world free??? loool the number of world games we had in the later version was enough, there was no need for that, they just gave it to us because of the custom maps

No general makes the game pay to win.

What old settings? I could make a preset of default then change all the units stats and start a game with 99s ... Who would know?
Rules don't change people, people change the rules.

This really does need to be changed. Competitive play relies on the general a lot and without one a player is at a huge disadvantage.

Admins you shouldn't take things away from players when they used to have them for free, especially if it is something as crucial as the general is to competitive play. Just make it free and make something less game breaking a premium feature.

Guys, it's only a select number of players who are complaining about this, do you think ivan and amok care about an minority? Remember this game is a business and afterall it's like $3 for the general (weapons) Premium feature.

actually there is a comment by Ivan above.

It's what they said exactly in the changes made, I could've read that there too. Since the comment Ivan made was responded throughout this whole topic I'd say they shouldn't stay out of this discussion
