literally all the time.... thankfully in the south chivalry hasnt died yet, and being respectful and polite to a lady is still normal (at least if ur not a rapist or thug). Its only when i travel out of the south that women seem to get a little more "independent," to put it lightly.

In my opinion, we have to look at the phonomenon with a historical perspective. Yes, CD's statistics are terrible for 2008, but women were also harassed and raped for multiple millenia. It's one of the first period in history where they get to freely say how they feel (in a few parts of the world). None of this is new. And the correct response is not to be offended by an advert, it's to recognize exactly what is going on. Corporations have realized that it is in their best interest to promote progressive social causes, because that is where the current orthodoxy lies, and that is the best PR. The last thing a Starbucks or a Google wants is to get slandered as a backwards rightwing company. Of course there is one big exception: economic issues like income inequality. 2) Dogs don't know right from wrong until they are trained. Dogs can't do any tricks until they are trained. All animals are instinct based, meaning they simply react based on instincts, and don't critically make decisions based on their ability to decide what is right and wrong. Humans are not fully instinctual (thank God). Rather we can process the ramifications of what making a certain decision will lead to in the future. Animals can't do this. Humans of course have that gut feeling, and theres nothing wrong with following your own instincts some times, but even when we do, we take a second to think about what the possible outcomes of that decision will be. All those characteristics you just described are all the same thing, they are learned behaviors. Once learned, they decide to use them instinctually purely for survival. Again, just go and read another article by our good friend Dr. Joe Schmoe with his PhD from the University of the Deaf and Blind about animal psychology... its basic stuff really.

Of course animals can critically think, my dog knows how to open doors by pulling the handle down, that's learning/thinking, animals have emotions, Crows place nuts on the road so the cars can smash them, Crows are aware when other Crows die, they remember human faces and attitude, some monkeys, apes and Gorillas know sign language, chimps are insanely tribalistic and know when to raid and steal other chimpanzees food and resources and bear's know how to scratch their back with other objects.
