Maybe they could still charge to make maps, just not to use them. The vast majority of maps pretty much never get played because the host has to have a paid account to start a game with them.

Make it where we can make maps for free and maybe every month have a free prem weekend or something like the free xbox live weekend

Not likely to happen, AtWar used to give free premium during christmas at one period of time, but it's been discontinued and I doubt there will ever be free premium again
