It all depends on the skill at the end of the day, especially in these world map big unit counts games. I remember a PC drop where laochra was MOS Cuba and Mauzer Panteri was Asia PD, not sure which starting country.
Even though Mauzer consolidated Asia and reached africa and europe faster, Laochra managed to win on SP.
In this case though unit count advantage is too big and this game is lost for America.

Dave, I think there should be a clear and achievable goal for Lion to adhere to for him to come back. Chats get lost/deleted or forgotten all the time. If this discord group was so special then why trust others to administer it? It's not a part of AW's intellectual property or copyright, it's just a discord server. If there is material on there that was so important then it could just as easily be argued that you should have made backups too. What was so important about it anyway? Aren't there like a dozen AW servers? Let's just make a new one...

These types of games normally end up on who has most SP unless it max turn 500 or something.
Also its best u fight alone since fighting with 2 opponents that are allied means double SP for you (side effect is they can micromanage better than if you if they are experienced players but imo doesnt matter).
I normally go IF eu/asia cus units harder to kill means more sp , LB eu same as IF if u have more money but its tricky to manage the eco and nc/co/lw usa cus u will need to go inter oceanic.
Aside from these big 3 powers i count africa too for its massive reinf but as a weaker side player , u will need to be imp/gw/ins and allied with another great power to try to win.

I also noticed that in the world map 2.0 several states are missing and some states like Canada and Australia are divided by unifying states, for this reason I made a map "World map 2.0 - All countries" that contains them all and also has natural resources in Antarctica in order to involve that continent in the conflict and improve the economic conditions of the South of the planet

However, until peace is made I have not removed countries from Ukraine as it is not stabilized, apart from Crimea which unfortunately has now been Russian since 2014

- "Leather Cannon" has been added to the game as a unique unit. The Leather Cannon is a mirror of the Howitzer, with -1ATK/DEF, but +2 Move Range. Additionally, it has all the same bonuses as the Howitzer, but weaker. (+1ATK/+4DEF against infantry instead of +2/+6). To compensate, they also cost less to build.The Leather Cannon is now the fastest-moving cannon/artillery unit in the game. Because this is technically a Unique Unit, it does not have an anti-infantry bonus against the Portugese Cassador.

- Sweden (neutral country) is the only place on the map where Leather Cannons can be built, creating a larger incentive to capture it.
- Sweden (neutral country) is now slightly harder to capture due to the presence of not only the usual 10 Militia but also 4 Leather Cannons.

- The Ottoman Empire now have Janissaries replacing some of their early-game Reinforcements. These are 7 ATK/DEF Infantry units that cannot be built, and spawn in low quantity. (4 on Turn 2, 10 on turn 5). Totaling 14 Janissary units in the entire game.

My suggestion would be to meet them mid ocean with lots of airpower, preferably stealthy airpower. If you catch him mid ocean you can really clean up. You do need to anticipate stealth commando attacks in NA but in my experience they rarely pack much of a punch. You also need lots of recon to intercept his stealth units. Winning is definitely doable. Good luck...

No response to the bug yet, but it's expanded. I tried fixing the cavalry (using a test copy map so I don't more break my game irreversibly) by creating a new unit altogether with the same parameters. Excluded from France - and yet, it's availible in france despite being clearly listed when you click on the unit as excluded from those countries

It would seem Exclude From Countries just doesn't work at all at this point.

Edit: After more tweaking (unselecting and reselecting the excluded countries) I seem to have fixed my game and they are properly excluded. Though when I open the map editor, it still lists them as availible if I select a city in that country.

I'm listing this here in case someone has a similar problem to me in the future - I don't know why it worked, but it seems to be possible to at least functionally fix this bug by undoing and re-doing it enough times.

Hey there.!
It's generally unlikely for another person to win after someone consolidates all of Asia and worse if they have some parts of Europe, but you can still try to win by SP according to maximum turns playable (usually 50), though that's only possible if Asia doesn't already lead the game by SP because they'll keep mining even more SP then the rest.

If your a sly fellow you can also try the more cunning approach of bringing Marines across the Pacific into Japan, Korea and China although it generally doesn't work against experienced players if your aim to topple your opponent, but it can at least distract Asia long enough to sidetrack it's invasion of the west and give Europe a breather and some respite. It does however require large early upfront costs to execute such plans with success.

Another thing I liked to do as America in long world games was to create long chains of transports from New York to Lisbon Or even farther ( across the Mediterranean and down to Red Sea near Egypt was my record XD ) in order to transport troops quickly into Europe which can be useful in a war of attrition against Asia but they also require early Investment (preferably before Asia consolidates it's holdings) and takes 7 to 10 turns after reinforcement turn to build at the quickest ( unless you're Blitz) and it's also possible for the transports would simply to be shot down by stealths and in the mean time Europe must hold itself together. Despite the challenges to build one i still find it to be a fun thing to carry out. :lol:

Lastly, there is the more easy but less practical and more luck & hope driven route of simply praying to what ever God/Gods you believe in that your opponent would disconnect from the game long enough for you to win. As silly as it sounds this is a rather popular approach then one you might expect and is used by players of all ranks and classes.
